I texted my friend Eric...who is...difficult at the best of times...to ask what he wanted for Christmas. He immediately replied with

"What do you want?"

Well after some bantering back and forth he decided what he wanted and asked me again what I wanted. I couldn't think of anything...then I thought of ducks. I wanted him to buy me a flock of ducks for Christmas. The ducks wouldn't actually go to me, they'd go to a family who needed them living across the big blue wet thing (if you haven't seen Muppet Treasure Island...shame on you)....

It's a charity that basically....teaches a man to fish instead of just handing him a fish. So he's going to buy me a flock of ducks for Christmas ^_^ and if he's really clever about it he'll print out one of the "gift cards" they have so I can have a picture of baby ducks on my wall. But I'm not getting my hopes up. XD

Soo....I encourage everybody to send a little flock of ducks or chicks of honey bees or what have you as a gift to somebody this year, and help the world little by little. I mean as you can see from the page you don't have to buy a whole flock yourself, you can contribute 10 dollars to the ante to help pay for a herd/flock. If you've got money to buy premium ya'll...surely you can give a little to those less fortunate.

Besides, giving just to give is a great cheer-booster....if you won't do it to help people....do it to impress your friends XD or to feel good about yourself. XD It doesn't matter the reason why you do it, just do it. You'd be surprised just how far 10 bucks will go.

If you're a vegetarian, look at their honey bees. It's a nice option for those of you who don't like eating animals. If you're a vegan....find some other trustworthy charity and contribute.

Don't just do it at Christmas either, do it all year! Just because it's not a particular season doesn't mean we all have to back to being greedy. It's hard to remember that in some places, they need "The Christmas Spirit" all year...they're not fortunate enough to only need it once a year.

Remember, only love you put out will return to you....and it's just a good thing to do...XD (I personally think we have a responsibility to...but that's just me...I'm not judging anyone else lol)
